Superintendent's Message

We want to THANK everyone for their cooperation during our two – hour delay for our ALICE training.  These days are extremely important and your assistance is always appreciated.  These trainings are required by law of all school districts in Ohio.  Our plan is to once again have training in the spring.  We will keep you posted.
Along the same lines, we also have three more scheduled early releases during the school year for professional development.  These sessions with the assistance of the Trumbull County Educational Service Center, have helped prepare our staff for state testing requirements.  As a result of these sessions, Southington Schools has achieved INDEPENDENT status from the state.  This is a three year distinction and one we are proud of.  All of this is due to the support of the entire Southington School Community.  THANKS AGAIN!
The following are our future early release dates.   Students will be released two hours earlier than normal:     Friday, January 18th
Friday, March 22nd
May – To Be Determined
As always, YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT IS WELCOME AND GO WILDCATS!
Educationally yours,
Rocco Nero
